Are you licensed and insured?
Yes — we're a licensed Illinois general contractor (License IL-GC-000000) carrying general liability and workers' compensation insurance. We're happy to share certificates before you sign anything.
Do I need my own architect or designer?
Either way works. Already have plans from an architect or designer? We'll build to them. Starting from scratch? We'll help you develop a layout, drawings, and finish selections before any work begins — so you can see the space before we build it.
Who pulls the permits?
We'll identify exactly which permits your project needs and guide you through the process. Depending on the project and your municipality, permits may be pulled by us or filed in the homeowner's name — we spell out who's responsible for what in your written proposal, so there are never any surprises.
Is the price really fixed?
Your proposal is a fixed price for a clearly defined scope of work — no vague allowances. If you decide to add or change something once we're underway, we price it and put it in a written change order for your approval before we proceed. The number only moves when you choose to move it.
How much does a remodel cost?
Every project is different. We'll give you a realistic budget range on our first call, then a detailed, line-item proposal after the in-home consultation so you can make decisions with real numbers.
How long will my project take?
Kitchens and baths typically run 4–10 weeks; whole-home and additions run longer. You'll get a published schedule with your proposal and weekly progress updates throughout.
